O Allah, I Am in Need of You

“My sins have increased, but Your kindness is far greater. The more I turn away, the more I am in need of You.”
— Dua Abu Hamza Al-Thumali

Shahr Ramadhan comes, and suddenly, it feels like we’re juggling a million things at once.

The pre-dawn alarms, the endless meal preps, making sure everyone is fed and prayed for, rushing between work, home, and the mosque. Barely squeezing in a moment for ourselves, let alone sitting with the Qur’an. And by the time the night comes, exhaustion settles in, and that whisper creeps in:

“You should be doing more. You should be reading more Qur’an. You should be standing longer in prayer. You should be better.”

And just like that, Shaytan’s work is done—without even being here.

Shame is his oldest trick, the one he plants in our hearts long before the blessed month of Ramadhan begins. It’s the voice that makes us feel like we’re never enough, never doing enough, never worthy enough to turn back. But this month is proof that he was wrong about us all along.

Through God’s infinite Mercy and Unconditional love, Iblis (Shaytan) is locked away this month , the only thing standing between us and Allah… is us. The noise, the distractions, the guilt—we finally get the chance to silence it all and hear what has been there the whole time:

“O Allah, I am in need of You.”

That’s all He wants from us. Not perfection, not endless rituals—just a heart that turns back.

So even in the middle of the chaos, even when you barely have time to sit with the Qur’an, even when all you can manage is a whispered Ya Allah between chores and commitments—it still counts. Every moment of longing, every exhausted Du’a, every tear that falls before you even say the words—it all brings you closer.

This Shahr Ramadhan, don’t let shame be the barrier. Let your struggle be the prayer. Turn to Him from wherever you are, however you are.

Because the more we need Him, the more He comes to us.

Run to the Arhamu-Rahimeen, the Akramul Akrameen, run to the most Beloved Allah swt. He’s been waiting for you all along.

May Allah swt wrap us all in His Divine Cloak of His Mercy and Light.

Peaceful prayers
