Let Allah Be the Anchor of Your Life
Dear Beautiful Soul,
Assalamu Alaykum,
Bismillah
Let us begin with God’s name, who is All Encompassing in His Kindness and All- Encompassing in His Mercy!
In this world of constant change, I know it can be overwhelming to keep your heart anchored. Sometimes, it feels like we’re floating aimlessly, pulled in different directions, and trying to keep up with the rush of life. But I want to remind you—there is one constant in this ever-changing world: Allah (swt). He is the anchor that never wavers.
When the noise of the world gets loud, when worries threaten to drown you, Allah’s presence is there, quietly offering peace, guidance, and strength. In moments like these, it’s so important to remember that Allah is with us, even when we don’t feel it. The Qur’an reminds us:
“And whoever relies upon Allah—He will suffice him.” (Qur’an 65:3)
This is His promise to you—to be there when you turn to Him to guide you when the path seems unclear.
I want to share with you a few reflections that have been guiding me during these quiet winter moments. These aren’t just practical steps—they are reflections, pauses, and gentle reminders to bring Allah closer to your heart:
Let Allah Be Your Stillness in the Storm
When the world spins fast, pause and remember that Allah is the stillness you seek. Let Him be the space of calm you enter each time you take a deep breath. When you wake up in the morning, whisper to yourself, “Ya Allah, guide me today with Your love and Your peace.” Even a soft whisper of His name in your heart is enough to centre you for the day ahead.
Your Prayer is a Sacred Conversation
Prayer isn’t just a routine—it’s your sacred moment with Allah. The heart of prayer is not in the movements or words alone but in the intimacy of that conversation. Before each prayer, let yourself be fully present. Let each word be a breath that brings you closer to Him. “And when My servants ask you concerning Me, indeed I am near.” (Qur’an 2:186). Allah is always near—especially in those quiet moments of prayer.
Let the Simple Moments Speak to You
Sometimes, we forget that Allah speaks to us through the everyday—through the smile of a stranger, the quiet beauty of nature, or even the stillness of a room. Take time in your day to notice these moments. When you’re walking, pause for a moment and reflect on the simple grace Allah has placed in your path. It’s these small encounters with His creation that can draw you closer to His love.
When You Struggle, Turn Inwards
Life isn’t always easy, and there will be moments where you feel lost, confused, or hurt. But even in these moments, Allah’s mercy is ever-present. Let your struggles bring you back to Him. Remember, “Indeed, with hardship comes ease” (Qur’an 94:6). Every challenge is an opportunity for you to turn to Him in humility, and every struggle is a chance to grow closer to your Creator. Don’t see these moments as burdens, but as blessings that deepen your connection.
Forgiveness: The Path Back to Allah’s Heart
Forgiveness isn’t just for others; it’s a gift you give yourself. When you feel distant from Allah, remember that no matter how far you’ve strayed, His mercy is always greater. Take a quiet moment every day to ask for forgiveness—“Ya Allah, forgive me, for I am in need of Your mercy.” This is the doorway back to His love, a love that never fades and never abandons.
Patience: The Silent Power Within You
Patience (sabr) isn’t just about waiting—it’s about holding your peace in moments of difficulty. It’s a powerful tool to connect with Allah’s plan. When you feel anxious or restless, remind yourself that Allah is the best of planners. Take heart! Trust that every moment is unfolding with His wisdom. In these moments of patience, feel His presence holding you steady.
I want you to remember, dear soul, that the journey towards Allah is not about achieving perfection—it’s about sincerity. Every step you take, every effort to reconnect, brings you closer to Him. Even in your moments of doubt or struggle, Allah is right there with you, waiting for you to reach out. You are never alone.
In these small pauses, these moments of reflection, you’ll find peace, love, and the quiet strength of knowing that Allah is with you every step of the way.
Dear beautiful soul, we are all in this ship of salvation together. Wherever you are, may God be your anchor and as I wrap up this intimate message, let’s pause make a collective prayer for the imminent return of our blessed Holy Imam Al Mahdi ajfs and may we find peace in His Holy presence.
With love and prayers,
Sis Nasim Walji Pirmohamed
